Transforming Your Body (and Your Life) With Strength Training

Transforming Your Body (and Your Life) With Strength Training

Join me for a very special episode of Hot Tea with Holly where I’m joined by two very special women in my community, Jennifer Been and Heidi Brenner.

If you haven’t met them yet, Jennifer and Heidi both exemplify many of the philosophies that I talk about on a regular basis. They are exceptional examples of what’s possible when you focus on your goal, follow a strategy, and keep going through the challenges that come up for us all.

Listen, achieving your goals is possible. And…you’re going to face challenges and obstacles, especially if you’re going for something great.

And I’m here to help you create the body you need to live the life you love.

Jennifer Been has been in my community for many, many years. In 2019 she was selected to join the Beta Test Group for The GLUTES Project ULTIMATE before the official relaunch in 2020. At the time, her strength training wasn’t super focused, and she was spending quite a bit of time distance running. The GLUTES Project was the first time she got serious about strength training. And as they say, the rest is now history.

Getting serious about strength training and building her lean muscle mass has been nothing short of transformational for her. You’ll be blown away by her story and things she has learned in the past two years.

Through a step by step process, Jennifer was able to increase her calories to over 2000 per day, added 5 pounds of lean muscle, and reduced her body fat percentage to impressive levels.

Be sure to watch the full episode above to hear all the details, and to learn about some of the obstacles Jennifer has faced in her journey to become better than ever.

I’d also love to introduce you to Heidi Brenner. Like Jennifer, Heidi has been in my community for a long time. I love Heidi’s story because I’ve heard it so many times from other women in my community.

Heidi was first introduced to strength training by a friend. The approach she used wasn’t right for her goals or experience level, and she found herself sore for days and completely wiped out from just one workout. When the intensity of the programming became too much, it “destroyed” her body and she knew it was time for a change.

Finding that much of the popular opinion about perimenopause was discouraging, Heidi set out to find a more optimistic path.

Heidi is proof that you can get stronger, you can get leaner, and you can change your body at any age. Even the years through perimenopause.

Heidi discovered that once she found the right program, she was able to transform her body in a productive way without the exhaustion that she had experienced in the past. What’s incredible to me is that Heidi has been working really hard to add lean muscle to her body, and has become smaller, tighter, and leaner as a result.

Heidi discovered that adding muscle leads to a smaller, tighter, leaner body and transformed her from shy and introverted to more confident..and able to compete with (and beat) men in her sport.

Great episode. I really enjoyed getting to now the stories of some of the regular ‘gluties’ – we’ve been together so long now it’s great to know their stories. And it was motivating to me to stay focused. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
